On 12 October 2026, Domaine Sesquier welcomed 80 water industry professionals for a working evening unlike any other. Their goal: to learn the lessons of Aqua Valley’s liquidation, ordered in August 2026, and to imagine the future of the network together.
A regional collective turning the page
Led by a collective of companies from Occitanie, the evening brought together a wide range of participants: micro-businesses, SMEs, large companies, design and engineering firms, as well as other regional stakeholders. After the demise of Aqua Valley, they all shared the same need: to take stock together and agree on a common way forward.
5 pm – 8:30 pm: a participatory workshop across 7 tables
After participants arrived at 5 pm, the heart of the evening began at 6 pm: two and a half hours of participatory workshop, spread across seven working tables. Plenary, small-group work, back to plenary: this alternation made it possible to take stock of the liquidation, then to collectively map out ideas for the future network.

The session was designed by Domaine Sesquier, with the participation of Camille Billon-Pierron, who facilitated the discussions. The estate did more than lend its spaces: it also built the evening’s programme and chose the working formats.

Flexible spaces, indoors and out
To host the 80 participants, the event took place in the Champs d’Olivier room, theArchipel and the estate’s outdoor areas (see the estate in pictures). This layout makes it easy to move from plenary sessions to small-group workshops, then to continue the conversation outdoors at dusk.

8:30 pm: buffet and time to connect
After the workshop, it was time for the buffet. This friendly moment allowed conversations to continue more informally, over a good meal and wines from the estate, until 10:30 pm.
